Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as a SportsCenter anchor. Her first job for ESPN in 2016. She is the child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful talent that enabled her to get her first job working as an assistant to the producer at Univision in Miami which gave her the chance to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later employed by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009, the reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She was also frequently called upon to be a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She covered The Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason and the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. She was advertised as anchoring sports on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She served in similar roles as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. There is an older sister. She is the older sister. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. In the end she was enthralled with the university. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. After graduation, she attended the university as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. He inspired her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her. She in turn, strived to fulfill the expectations of him and not fail him.
